The Milton Education Village Innovation Centre is an initiative ecosystem dedicated to enabling an entrepreneurial culture for business growth, start-ups, incubation, intersection for innovation, education and training. The vision for the Centre includes four core services and features: collaborative space, acceleration/incubation, business services, and education and training.
The Centre has aligned with its Strategic Partners to provide services to tenants and users of the Centre as well as the surrounding community. Our services focus on helping growth oriented and start-up companies in Halton and include the Halton Region Small Business Centre and Haltech.
Wilfrid Laurier University has joined the MEV Innovation Centre to establish its first physical presence in Milton prior to developing a campus within the Milton Education Village. Their space at the Centre includes offices and a classroom where they plan to offer programming in the near future.
The MEV Innovation Centre opened at 555 Industrial Drive in April 2014 and will operate at this location until it relocates to the Milton Education Village. The Village will be a comprehensive neighbourhood, integrating post-secondary education, residential, commercial, business park and recreational uses, within the envelope of a 400 acre (160 hectare) area alongside the Niagara Escarpment.
